CASE STUDY 2 — MysticqueRose Publishing Services

How I Helped a Publishing Founder Grow from Freelancer to Agency Owner with Scalable Systems

MystiqueRose Publishing Services | Publishing & Author Services

When I joined MysticqueRose, the founder, Porsche, was already doing meaningful work, helping independent authors bring their books to life.

But everything depended heavily on the her.

The Situation

The business operated like a freelance practice. There was no structured system for growth.
Lead generation was inconsistent. Client intake was not defined. Marketing was manual.
The business had potential but needed structure.

The Challenge

The challenge was scalability.
There was no system for attracting and converting leads. Growth depended on constant effort.
There was also an opportunity to expand into marketing services, but that required building new systems.

My Role

I initially came in to support marketing.Over time, I became a right-hand partner, working closely with Porsche on both strategy and execution. My role evolved into building the systems that supported growth, while also managing the day-to-day execution needed to bring those systems to life.

What I Did

01

Built a Marketing Foundation

We started by creating a structured approach to lead generation. I developed a lead magnet and email system designed to attract and nurture potential clients. This created a more consistent way for people to enter the business. From there, we expanded into content and audience-building strategies, focusing on where the right clients were and how to reach them effectively.

02

Structured the Client Journey

We introduced more clarity into how leads became clients. This included creating a more defined intake and qualification process, as well as improving how clients moved into fulfillment. The goal was to reduce friction and create a smoother, more intentional experience from first contact to project delivery.

03

Built and Led a Marketing Department

As the business grew, I identified an opportunity to expand services by offering marketing support to authors. I built a marketing department from the ground up and managed a team of five. Together, we supported authors with launching and promoting their books, helping them not only publish their work but also reach the right audience.

04

Introduced Launch and Audience-Building Strategies

We moved away from traditional book launches and introduced more engaging formats. For nonfiction authors, we designed workshops and events where people could learn something valuable before being introduced to the book. This approach helped authors build audiences from scratch and convert that attention into book sales.

05

Created Operational Structure for Execution

To support all of this, I introduced structure into how the team worked. We implemented weekly meetings, daily check-ins, and clear accountability across different time zones. This ensured that projects moved forward consistently and that everyone knew what was expected of them.

The Result

The business evolved from a freelance setup into a structured agency.
The founder expanded into speaking, memberships, and authorship, including publishing her own book.
The business became more scalable and consistent.
